Week of September 5, 2016

This week we will integrate science into our reading instruction.  We will learn about and explore magnets.  The students will read several stories about magnets, learn how they work and complete experiments at the end of the week to test what we have read about.  There will not be a vocabulary test this week.

This week there will be no spelling words.  We are going to look at the /f/ sound spelled ph.  We will work with words that have /ph/ at the beginning and the middle of words. Examples: xylophone, graph, nephew, photo, trophy and phone.
